Portable Gas Grills
These days, stainless steel portable gas grills are almost a necessity. For individuals and families who love to
go on adventures, a portable grill is the only way to enjoy great tasting grilled food. If you’re already out
looking for one, you might want to take a look at a few good options.
Weber 386002 Q-100 Portable Gas Grill
This unit gets outstanding points for durability. It comes with porcelain enameled cast iron cooking grates,
cast aluminum lid, aluminum body, glass reinforced nylon frame and weather resistant handle. Aside from being
durable, it also makes the task of grilling a breeze with its adjustable burner valve, push button ignition and
8,500 BTU single stainless steel burner. With these qualities, food is sure to cook evenly on the grill’s 189
square inch cooking area. That’s more than enough space for five or more patties.
One can hardly complain about this outstanding grill. Perhaps one possible negative quality is its single
burner. This may already be good enough for some users though because the unit is after all a portable one. A more
significant disadvantage is that it can only accommodate a 14 oz gas tank. This may not be enough for hard core
grillers.
O-Grill 3000 Portable Gas Barbecue Grills
The most noticeable trait of this grill is its appearance. Among all the portable gas grills available, this one
has one of the most unique designs. It has a clam shaped orange colored body with retractable legs and a single
handle. This design however is intended to make the grill more compact and easy to carry with one hand.
You shouldn’t let its design mislead you. It may look compact but it has a 225 square inch grilling surface and
a 9,450 BTU stainless steel burner. These are features that are definitely over and above other regular grills.
When it comes to performance, this model passes with flying colors. Its only major disadvantage is its price. At
$160 it is definitely pricier than other models. The model however is obviously worth every penny.
Char-Broil 4651330 Tabletop Grill
This model tops all the others when it comes to portability. At 14 lbs. this is one of the lightest models to
lug around. Despite its size though, it has a 12,000 BTU burner and a 187 square inch cooking surface.
For a little over $30 this grill is one of the cheapest around. If you want quick no nonsense grilling for small
groups, this grill might just be good enough.
Before you buy this grill though, you should take note that it has some glaring negative points. The burner is
sometimes difficult to light and may at times go off without warning. Burner setting may also have to be set at
maximum for some food items. This grill is best used for small food cuts, hotdogs, and vegetables.
There are many more portable gas grills in the market to choose from. If you want truly perfect meals away from
home, settle only for grills that match your needs and preferences.
